Every season offers something special! In Winter, the pure, white snow brings an abundance of winter sports such as snowmobiling, skiing, snowboarding, and tobogganing. Not to mention, fun, local activities, such as Michigan Tech’s Winter Carnival with ice statue contest. Then there are Finlandia University’s Finnish cultural celebrations including the Heikenpaiva Festival and parade in January. In Fall, we have some of the most beautiful fall colors in the United States! A tour through the tree “covered road” to Copper Harbor and Eagle River is a must! In Spring, our Michigan wildflowers come to life, and our many waterfalls melt and rush! Summer is full of amazing, blue Lake Superior views and plenty of fun things to see and do.
